Normal cycle: Most commonly women on loestrin are going to have normal regular periods. Some women can have breakthrough bleeding on loestrin. All estrogen based birth control pills can increase a woman's risk of blood clot. Other common side effects include breast tenderness, bloating, mood changes, headache and nausea.
