4 main symptoms: The cardinal symptoms of pd include resting tremor (such as the "pill-rolling" tremor you may have seen muhammad ali suffering from); bradykinesia (slow movement, shuffling pattern when walking), rigidity (resistance to passive movement of a limb), and instability when standing (seen with more advanced disease). There can be other craniofacial, visual, musculoskeletal, and gait symptoms, too.

Several.: Parkinson's is a degenerative disorder of the central nervous system. The motor symptoms of Parkinson's disease result from the death of dopamine-generating cells in the substantia nigra. Early in the course of the disease, the symptoms are movement-related; these include shaking, rigidity, slowness of movement and difficulty with walking and gait. Later, cognition, demenentia and depression occur.

Tremors: Initially, one may notice only a unilateral tremor when the hand is resting. Later there can be imbalance and stiffness using arms and legs, but pts can also experience cognitive changes, and problems with swallowing. The issues are progressive, but can be treated and often very well controlled.
