A member asked:

How can i prevent a subdural hematoma from reoccuring?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Stop hitting head: A subdural hematoma is usually a result of trauma. There is rupture of blood vessels just beneath the dura that causes a blood clot. This can dissolve to a fluid collection with a membrane. Usually this resolves and is of no significance. Rare cases rebleed or even grow, particularly if there is repeated trauma.
