Genetic Condition : Basal cell nevus syndrome (bccns) also known as gorlin syndrome is a condition characterized by multiple basal cell carcinomas (bcc), jaw cysts, other types of tumors such as medulloblastomas (a rare malignant brain tumor), palmar/plantar pits (small pits visibile on the skin of hands and feet), facial bony changes and skeletal troubles. This all results from a mutation in a tumor suppressor gene.

Complicated: Basal cell nevus syndrome is an inherited disorder with many features. There are small pits in the skin of the palms and soles, facial bone changes and numerous basal cell skin cancers as well as other features. This syndrome can usually be diagnosed by a dermatologist.
