A member asked:

Is straitening the hair will lose it?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

It may: Hair loss can be due to many causes. Hair cells are one of the fastest dividing cells in our body. Genetics, our health and nutrient status may reflect on the hair growth. In addition, outside stressors such as heat due to ironing of the hair, use of chemicals (e.g., 'keratin treatment"), or pulling hair tight into a pony tail (so called "traction alopecia'), may precipitate hair loss.
