Worth a visit to OBG: The pattern you relate suggests you may have polycystic ovaries. It would probably be worth your time to see an obgyn & have a thorough evaluation with tests to see if that is the case & whether they can help you.

Oligomenorrhea: Clearly only 2-3 cycles per year is abnormal. It's more common with hormonal contraception but it sounds like you would like to get pregnant. You're not ovulating since you're not having regular menses. It's best to see a gyn to start an evaluation. They may refer you to an infertility specialist (rei) depending on their findings.
