Circulation: "pulsation" is most often caused by heightened sensitivity to the systolic pulsewave from your heartbeat. This may be due to an increase in interstitial pressure (often leads to edema), which creates a counter pressure on the arteries, as they carry the systolic pressure wave throughout the circulatory tree. Try elevating your extremity and see if it has an effect on the pulsation (more or less).
