Unsure: A woman only has a menstrual period after ovulating. The period will occur about 14 days after ovulation, unless conception occurs. The shortest menstrual cycles are no less than 21 days from the beginning of each period. Not all bleeding is actual menstrual bleeding. A woman who does not ovulate regularly may have irregular and unpredictable dysfunctional bleeding.
