No specific time: If you have a tooth infection it can become quite serious if left unattended. Pain, infection, swelling, complicated treatment, extraction, and in rare cases even death can occur. Do not delay in getting treatment. Call your dentist today.

Very fast: Teeth are connected to the blood circulation through tiny blood vessels, so any tooth infection gets to the blood stream extremely fast, the only reason that person is not feeling the immediate effect of this infection is that your body is capable to sustain / fight this infection most of the time, toth infection can also cause bad breath.

Tooth Infection: Depends on your body's immune system. If your body's immune system is depressed do to an illness, cancer treatment or aids, this could be quicker. Don't play with fire. Most of the bacteria that can kill us already live in our mouth accessing our blood stream through open sores, open cuts or dental infections. See your dentist regularly to help you keep you mouth healthy and free of infections.

Immediately: All infections spread immediately through the blood stream. The more virulent the infection, the more rapid and serious the consequences. Infections require immediate treatment. If infected tooth is the source, the infected teeth material must be removed via root canal treatment or extraction. Don't play around with this, seek immediate treatment.
