Examine closely: Parent plus doctor can examine the site closely to see if there's an identifiable problem, starting from the outside, and thinking about each layer as one moves from outside skin to inside the stomach. If suspecting there is hypersensitivity to touch (on the skin), one can try putting anesthetic cream on it for a few days to see if that helps. Maybe trying a button instead of tube, or vice versa.
