I'm 33 weeks pregnant. when i'm considered "full term" at 37 weeks, can i tell my doctor i want to be induced then?

Full term is 37 week: You need to discuss that with your doc, if you or the baby are not having problems , if you were my pt you could be induced no sooner than 39 weeks, if u need to be delivered before that you are supposed to have an amniocentesis to make sure the lungs are mature, acog does not rec elective indcution before 39 weeks so time for you to discuss all of this with your doc, not here.

NO!: More and more data now prove the fetal brain benefits from in utero maturation up until 40 weeks. Do not even think about delivering before 39 weeks - unless you develop some valid medical indication, which i hope you can avoid. Patience is a virtue..
