Are there any rx'd meds that have been found to cause mds or mgus? (ie:celebrex)

NO OTC MEDS: No over the counter meds have been linked to mds or mgus. Dna damaging meds like chemotherapy can be a risk factor for secondary mds. Mgus has no specific cause, its a clonal proliferation of a plasma cell, but in itself we don't treat mgus, but there is a real 1% annual risk of progressing to multiple myeloma.

Agree with Dr. R: There is no known cause of MGUS.
