Schedule follow up: Brown discharge is usually a small amount of old blood. When mixed with Progesterone vaginal suppositories it can look a little gross. Spotting in early pregnancy is very common but should always be evaluated. I would schedule a follow up appt this week for a sonogram and office visit to make sure everything is proceeding as planned.

No: You do not need that much Progesterone typically. You should have got Progesterone levels checked at your checkup.A previous miscarriage does not mean you currently need Progesterone with this pregnancy. Call your OB and see if you can safely get off this medication.
