Talk to a dentist: A general dentist can point you in the right direction in terms of braces. He/she may also begin preparatory work with regard to cavities.

Get a smile makeover: There are many cosmetic options to improve your smile. Braces maybe all you need if you like the color and shape but their not aligned correctly. Faster and less expensive choices like reshaping, crowns or veneers can give you a beautiful proud smile.

Get consults: You will find lots of choices. Your choices include conventional orthodontics, clear orthodontics (invisalign), veneers, crowns, gum surgery, or combinations thereof. My suggestion is go get multiple consults. At least you will have explored most options.

Maybe: Braces can help straighten your teeth if they are crooked or if you have spaces or a bite problem. Many times people don't like the appearance of their teeth because they are dull or stained. An electric tooth brush and frequent professional cleanings at least every 6 months can help tremendously. They don't have to be perfectly straight to look healthy and attractive.

Seek consultation: Seek consultation with orthodontic specialist to determine if you have a malocclusion that would benefit from orthodontic care. In schenectady i would recommend seeing dr peter pfaffenbach.
