Takes years: The process takes years to set up & lead to cancer. It would rarely surface in the brief time frame of the teens but it does lay the groundwork for the change to occur by middle age.

It's the future : Chewing tobacco has a additive effect. You may not get it when you start but you are asking for trouble in the future. All tobacco is a cause for cancer. And has things in it that can hook you. Being young makes it somewhat easier to quit, but you must either convince your friends who smoke or chew to quit or get new friends. If they are your friends, you might help them quit too. Chew a sugarless.

Please don't do it!: Tobacco, whether chewed or smoked, is a carcinogen and the more the mouth is exposed to this the greater the risk. Numbers are just statistical guesses. For that person who does get oral cancer, whether as a teenager or later on, there is pain, disfigurement or loss of life. If you smoke or chew, please stop. If you've never started, don't ever start.

Not rare as u think: Oral cancer from chewing tobacco is deadly and the treatment is devastating! it is also highly addictive and is not a good idea to get started, while not as frequent as lung cancer, oral cancer from chew is deadly to those who get it! i can't give you percentages on it, but you don't want it!
