Yes: The tests are routine for women of reproductive age. It is routine to screen even monogamous women for std's because it can cause serious damage to the fallopian tubes which can cause infertility if she were to be infected unknowingly.

9 months ago BV was detected not trich in Vaginal swab .I havent had sex for 9 months. Now, I have checked, trichomonas came positive in tests (pap and vaginal swab). So the question: Is Trichomonas hard to detect sometime. reinfection not possible.
