DERMATITIS SCALP: Hives are signs of allergy. Did you use new chemical on your hair? Like coloring hair with dye? Headache is part of the reaction. Take benadryl, (diphenhydramine) analgesic, steroid cream on your scalp and if not relieved see md.

Hives: Hives come and go. Higher doses of non-sedating antihistamines during the daytime hours and it is safe to take the sedating antihistamines at nighttime to get some sleep. You need to break the itch-scratch cycle. Otherwise, see your allergist.
