Depends: Certainly a vaginal ultrasound will help diagnose a pregnancy, but there are other reasons for the ultrasound. Are you pregnant? What are your other symptoms? Your ob/gyn could be confirming your pregnancy, or if it's gyn related could be looking at your uterus and ovaries.
