Not likely ectopic: An ectopic pregnancy typically progresses rapidly and painfully, and often can become life-threatening after even a few weeks. Four months of bleeding is unlikely to be from an ectopic. However, it certainly needs a work-up. See your doctor. They will probably do a pelvic exam, check you for infections, and maybe get an ultrasound of your uterus.

Get checked: Abnormal bleeding should be evaluated after this long. You probably have a hormonal imbalance rather than ectopic pregnancy. Get a gyn evaluation and they will do a pregnancy test routinely. A gynecologist will help with a diagnosis and a plan.
