Possibly : Referred dental pain can be difficult to diagnose without dental x-rays . Besides referred dental pain, there are a number of other conditions that affect the cranial facial nerve that innervates the area you describe. See your physician.

Need exam: This may or may not be a dental issue. With numbness occurring, you don't want to wait. Please call a dentist asap who can do an exam, see if it is a dental issue and if not dental refer you to someone who can help you. Good luck and don't wait. As i previously indicated, make an appointment asap!

Yes: A tooth infection may cause those symptoms. I don't like the numbness, could be an infection close to the nerve. Visit your dentist asap.
