Yes: Yes, you can breastfeed while on hydrocodone. Because of the stress the surgery on your body you may not make as much milk you previously did. Eat well and drink plenty of water so that your body recovers. If your baby continues to not have bowel movements over the 24-48 hrs go see your pediatrician.

I don't recommend: I recommend "pump and dump" and provide formula until you are off the narcotic medications.
