Reason to see OBGYN: During pregnancy there can be masses due to obstetric (eg, ovarian cyst) and nonobstetric (bowel, etc) causes. It is necessary to undergo examination by a physician in such cases. Ultrasound imaging might also be needed if the physician confirms or suspects a mass or tenderness in the area. This is a reason to call and speak with an OB provider as soon as possible.
