Probably: Strep is highly unlikely in this case.!st it is very rare in this age group. 2nd strep almost always is clinically resolved within 24-48 hours of starting the antibiotic.Calling it strep with a strep test is terrible! this presentation is probably viral and the meds will not help.

You maybe right!: Herpes gingivostomatitis vs herpangina vs aphthous ulcers vs early candidal mucositis can do this! please revisit your md and he may switch meds or at least give you ulcer numbing meds! those are painful and you do not have to suffer as much ! regards!
