A member asked:

If i am treated for hypertension and prediabetes and my numbers are now normal, do these disappear as risk factors in cvd?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Not really.: Being treated for hypertension and "pre-diabetes" does lessen the negative influence they have on your cardiovascular risk, but the fact that you have these health problems does not go away just because your numbers are now normal. Keep follow ups with your treating physician and practice good lifestyle habits, such as a healthy diet and exercise, for maximal risk reduction.
