Very likely normal: If you had irregular periods prior to staring hormonal contraception, you will go back to what is "normal" for you once you stop. If you are having unprotected sex without using any method of contraception, you should take a pregnancy test to be sure you aren't pregnant.

Normal to go back: It is quite common for women who had a resolution of irregular periods on the pill, to revert back to an irregular pattern when she stops the pill. If you miss a period you should consider a pregnancy test.
