Days 16-18: The menstrual cycle is divided into 2 parts - the follicular and luteal phases. The luteal phase begins with ovulation and is relatively consistent at about 14 days. The follicular phase begins on the first day of your period and can vary from person to person and between cycles. Using an ovulation predictor kit, you can pin down ovulation.
