Ped. vs All/Imm. Fel: A pediatrcian specializes in the care of children from birth to 16-18 yrs of age. The training is 3 yrs after medical school. An allergist/immunologist cares for all ages of people with allergies, asthma, immunologic and related diseases. The training has 2 paths. Either 3 yrs of pediatric residency or 3 yrs of internal medicine & then 2-3 yrs of allergy/immunology fellowship. Double board elig.
