Depends: This depends on the type of surgery ( fusion v laminectomy v disectomy), the number of levels involved, the approach ( open v minimally invasive), first time surgery v revision, your age, your health & your physical condition at the time of surgery as well as any complications. Your weight & nutritional status & smoking status play a role. Also the area of spine operated on makes a difference.
