What is aderal taken for?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

ADHD/ADD: The main use for Adderall (dextroamphetamine and racemic amphetamine) is adhd/add. This stimulant medication is also used off-label for a number of other problems including sleep disorders such as sleep apnea and narcolepsy. Pts who tried diet/exercise and other interventions, morbidly obese patients may be put on the medication to assist with weight loss. For brief periods it can be used to help with depression especially in elderly.
