Help: Help her with chores that stress her joints such twisting off lids. Lubricate stuck doorknobs. Buy her hot packs that she can microwave and apply to stiff joints. Go with her to her next rheumatology appointment and ask her doctor what you can do to help. Encourage her to stay active.

Medication: Is she seeing a rheumatologist? There are very good medications available to treat rheumatoid arthritis. This will help with her pain as well as help with any joint destruction that rheumatoid causes.
