A member asked:

Is it likely that i could be pregnant after having my tubes tied 20 months ago and taking two cycles of birth control?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Yes: If the tubes were "burned" in only one place, the failure rate is 1/200 to 1/600 sometimes resulting in an ectopic pregnancy. Tubes that are tied, cut, and a portion of the tube removed have a 1/10, 000 failure rate.
