U should be asking: And addressing all your concerns to your OB as your OB can do all the proper testing to make sure your unborn child is ok (or not), as long as your OB is board certified your OB knows the proper testing you should have , and that is something i discuss with all my pts at the first prenatal visit, so if you are worried make an appt to see your OB tom even if it is before your next scheduled visit.

Sonogram and testing: Congratulations on the pregnancy. Establishing prenatal care with an obgyn is the first step. Likely you will also see a perinatologist due to your age. Genetic testing will be offered for Down syndrome and other genetic disorders. You will also get a specialized ultrasound called a level 2. Consider asking for a harmony test which is new but effective in detecting genetic disorders in pregnancy.
