A member asked:

My lips sometimes take a pale or bluish color. is this normal?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Pallor (pale): Can be a reaction to cold and vasoconstriction to keep warm, or pallor can indicate anemia. Blue lips, cyanosis, can indicate lack of oxygenation, a sign of pulmoanry or heart problems. However, check with your doctor to figure this out rather than looking in the mirror.
