ADD: Add & adhd are not usually diagnosed until a child is of school age. A proper diagnosis requires ruling out possible medical conditions, developmental disorders, environmental toxins, etc. In addition, objective questionnaires for the teacher and parent are important. Many psychologists also like to observe the child in their home and school settings.

I wouldn't accept it: A 2 yo is designed to be busy with a low attention span and self driven behavior. I would have great difficulty accepting any "ADD" label on a 2 yo, whoever wanted to use it. These kids can be frustrating and have behavior issues, but the idea that you can put them in this school aged label as a toddler is a bit much.Applied behavioral assessment/treatment is the better approach.
