Calorie economics: Soy milk does not cause weight gain anymore than other food (including regular milk). Weight gain occurs when the total calorie intake exceeds the calories consumed by the body in activities, leading to storing away of the calories. In general, calories from all food sources not used are turned to fat and stored for later use. Portion control is important. Avoid drinking too much soy milk.
