Yes, they can: Long-term lsd effects include ongoing psychosis and hallucinogen-persisting perception disorder (hppd), or "flashbacks." psychosis with hallucinations & mood swings can continue years after the trip. Hppd has visual disturbances like seeing false motion on the edges of the field of vision, bright or colored flashes, and halos or trails attached to moving objects. This can persist for years also.
