A member asked:

Can brain cancer worsen a mood disorder?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Sure: Although the causes of mood disorders can be complex, a tumor within the brain can also affect mood depending on the location of the mass and its effect on surrounding brain tissue/function, and release of chemicals. Sometimes the treatments for the brain tumor (steroids, chemotherapy medications, and anti-seizure medications) can also cause changes to a person's mood (worsen or improve).
