No: Nevus spilus is a type of spotted mole with underlying light brown patch in the background. These are often present at birth, and may slowly enlarge as we grow, but almost never transform into skin cancer.

No: Keep an eye on your skin here as you would anywhere. A rapidly-growing, irregular, bleeding, or just strange-looking new lesion should prompt a physician's office visit. A majority of folks have one or more curious little marks, and many enjoy them. The nevus spilus is nothing to worry about.
