The cause first...: There are many causes of angular cheilits and therefore treatment varies accordingly. The most common cause is simply dry skin or some irritation followed by constant lip licking. Denture wearers with an over-closed bite is another common cause. Fungal infections, more commonly and vitamin deficiency, less frequently. If this is a recurrent probem see a dentist and\or physician.
