Could be anything: The symptoms you describe could be alot of things. It could be a stricture or a blockage in the food pipe. It could be a functional problem where the food pipe is not working properly. Some times the food pipe can have an outpouching called a diverticula and food can get stuck. An extrinsic compression like a goiter can press and block food pipe. A ct scan of the neck and an upper GI test.
