Maybe infection: Fever, swollen glands in the neck, and enlarged tonsils can be a strep throat infection (which would need antibiotics such as penicillin or amoxicillin) or can be a viral infection such as mono. A doctor can check and do a rapid strep test from swabbing the mucus on the throat (the test takes 5 minutes).
