How do you know if you need reading glasses?

Try reading glasses.: Go the the local drug store and try the reading glasses they have right off the shelf. You can tell right away if print is easier to read. You can try the different strengths right there and pick the right one for close vision such as reading.

Doing near tasks: If you are unable to comfortably see during near-related activities, you are likely having difficulty accommodating. Reading glasses help by aiding your deficient focus. Of course, if you have double vision with near task activities, you likely need a prism correction ground into the reading glasses. At your age(34), you are beginning to have this natural decrease in near focus, esp. If farsighted.
