Several.: A well placed urostomy usually has few complications, but they certainly can occur. Urine on the skin can cause skin irritation & breakdown. The conduit can become infected or blocked by stones or narrowing. The connection to the kidneys can become blocked, or loss of blood supply can cause the conduit to fail.
