Ance and pregnancy: It is not a good idea to use medications unnecessarily during pregnancy. Topicals like benzoyl peroxide and tretinoin (retin a) may work reasonably well for acne, but are not generally recommended during pregnancy. A gentle cleanser may offer some good day to day help.

Exfoliate & cleanse: Acne breakouts during pregancy are very common. There are medications that i like to avoid during this very special time in your life, but treatment is possible and effective. Because of the additional oil cause by hormonal changes you will need a good skin cleanser with salicylic acid, a topical antibacterial, and a good exfoliator to keep pores clean. No tretinoin.
