Yes!: Everything you ever wanted to know about all immunizations, including the tetanus vaccine can be found at- http://www.Cdc.Gov/vaccines/ great material there. Will answer all possible questions. By the way..Clean that wound out thoroughly with an antibacterial soap and water. Some folks prefer to use alcohol (it burns!), peroxide, or other "cleansing compounds" ( like povidone-iodine).

Depends: If you have not received a booster within 10 years you should. If is more than 5 but less than 10, it wouldn't hurt & would improve your protection so you wouldn't need it again soon. De sure to clean the wound and monitor it for swelling, redness or discharge.There are other germs that can cause problems.
