A member asked:

Can a butterfly rash caused by discoid lupis be removed?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Depends: The rash that is seen is part of the immune response to the skin and it is a reflection of the activity of the disease. Sometimes the exposure to light can make it worse. In general, controlling the disease will make it more likely that the rash goes away.
