No.: Aromasin (exemestane) is used to treat breast cancer in hormone-positive, post-menopausal women. While it is similar to tamoxifen, which is used to both prevent and treat breast cancer, Aromasin (exemestane) is not indicated for breast cancer prevention in healthy (well) women.

It depends: Aromasin (exemestane) is generally taken by women who have developed breast cancer and have hormonally sensitive tumors. If they have metastases or are at high risk of recurrence or mets, they can benefit from aromasin (exemestane). At least one study has shown that post-menopausal women who have not yet had cancer but were at high risk of developing it, had a 65% reduction in risk. Are those women "well?".
