They don't!: Closeted homosexuals don't necessarily avoid getting HIV infection. In fact, they may be more likely to get infected because they may not view themselves as being at risk, and therefore don't take the appropriate precautions. If they also have girlfriends, they put them at risk as well. The closet is an unhealthy place!
