No: Vitiligo is a chronic skin condition that results in depigmentation of the affected areas. It is caused by antibodies directed against the self. It is not a fungal infection. One fungal infection of the skin, pityriasis versicolor, can cause the areas affected to be less pigmented than the surrounding skin. But the two conditions are unrelated and have completely different appearances.
