2-3 days: This varies depending on each institution, but normally biopsy results are returned within 2-3 days of the procedure.

Usually two days: A surgical biopsy resutls are usually available in two days. It takes longer in difficult cases that my require additional stains or consultation. If there is a malignant tumor the pathologist usually calls the doctor sending the tissue.
